Anglophone South School District, in partnership with the Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour, invites applications for the following contract position:
 
Career Resource Centre Coordinator
(The Work Room)
Sussex/Hampton
Full time position; 36.25 hours per week; term contract to March 31, 2020 (Subject to renewal on yearly basis)
Description:
The Work Room is a focal point for youth and adults seeking career information, assistance with career planning and decision-making, workplace readiness, community links, school-to-work transition, career change and employment. 
 
The Work Room is accessible to all high school students under the Saint John Education Centre umbrella and residents of the surrounding committees and operates year-round.
 
Interested candidates should be prepared for flexible hours including 2-3 evenings per month and possibly Saturdays and for year-round operation of the Work Room.
 
It may also require travel to the other Work Room locations (Quispamsis, Saint John, St. Stephen and Springfield) on occasion for meetings and/or other special initiatives.
 
This position is a non-union position effective immediately to March 31, 2020 with a beginning salary of $1,835 bi-weekly. 
 
Qualifications:
·        A Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Business Administration, Education, Human Resources, or Social Sciences.
·        Entrepreneurial approach to work, including strong marketing and networking skills, creativity, resourcefulness, results oriented and proven ability to take initiative
·        Demonstrated knowledge and experience in school to work related initiatives
·        Solid understanding of labour market trends and the labour market of the Southwest Region of New Brunswick
·        Demonstrated experience and sensitivity in working with diverse groups
·        Strong organizational, problem solving, communication, budgeting and interpersonal skills
·        Computer literate, proficiency in internet and windows environment
·        Direct experience in workshop organization and facilitation
·        Experience in a co-ordination role
