GLEN FALLS SCHOOL STUDENTS WIN GOLD AND SILVER MEDALS AT CANADIAN KANGAROO MATH COMPETITION

On March 29, several Glen Falls School students from Grade 1 and 2 took part in the Canadian Kangaroo Math Competition held at UNBSJ.  The purpose of this competition is to introduce youngsters from grade 1 to grade 12 to math challenges in a fun and enjoyable way, thus inspiring their further interest and advancement in mathematics.  The competition is held yearly in many cities across the country.

We are so proud to announce that two of our grade 1 students from Mrs. Sen’s class received medals in the competition.

Connor Smith won 1st place in New Brunswick receiving a gold medal.  Connor placed 9th in Canada ranking him in the top 5% in Canada!

Brooke Cleghorn won 2nd place in New Brunswick receiving a silver medal.  Brooke ranked in the top 25% in Canada!
