GUIDANCE:

St. Thomas University will be performing On the Spot Admissions on Monday, October 21^st.  Please sign up in Guidance this week to reserve your spot.

VOTING:

Students and staff: Student vote is taking place Friday, October 18^th during Advisory.  We will have an extended advisory that morning and no announcements.  Advisory teachers, please review the PowerPoint with your students.  It includes how to properly fill out a ballot, as well as videos and activities pertaining to democracy.

Wednesday October 16^th during period 2, four local candidates will be here to discuss their party’s platforms.  Please sign up in the office if you want to bring your class.

NIGHT WATCH:

Tickets are now available for the fall play, Night Watch.  Night Watch is a murder mystery that hits the KVHS stage on October 22, 23 & 24^th.  Tickets are $10, and are available in the library, the office, or from any member of the cast.  Please come out and support the KVHS theatre program!

Attention cast members of Night Watch: please meet on the blocks after announcements this morning for an important meeting.

GRADUATES:

Baby pictures are now being collected for the Yearbook.  Please email a digital copy to the yearbook email (KVHSyearbookstaff132@gmail.com).  Deadline is November 1^st.

YEARBOOKS:

Yearbooks are available for purchase on line at Jostens.com and also on Cashless Schools.  Our Back to school special has been extended until October 18^th.  The special includes free personalization and icons with your purchase of a Yearbook for $55.

SPORTS:

Cross Country- Congratulations to the Cross Country Team on an excellent performance at Regionals this weekend!  Special Shout out to the Senior Boys on ranking first and Cameron Harris on his top finishing time.  Way to go team!

The Senior Boys soccer team plays St. Macs tonight at 5:00 pm in Milledgeville in the playoff semi-finals.  Players who can’t be there tonight need to see Mrs. Logan today in Room 247.

An unbelievable athletic accomplishment occurred over the past weekend!!  KVHS was crowned provincial champions in two sports!!  The softball team beat FHS 1 – 0 to pave the way to a THIRD provincial title in a row!!  AMAZING!  Yesterday our boys trounced Moncton High 6 -0 on the back of Tim Crawford’s no HITTER!!  It was KVHS first ever baseball provincial title.  Congrats to both teams for making KVHS very proud.
