​GUIDANCE:

If you are between the ages of 14 – 17 and would like to travel to Ottawa for a fun filled week of Learning and Culture, then you are the perfect person to attend Encounters with Canada.  If you are interested, please send your name to Mrs. Price in Guidance.

DANCE:

Attention all Dancers! Tryouts for the KVHS dance team will be Friday, September 20^th right after school.  Be there or be square!

GRADUATES:

This is a message for all Grade 12’s… Your first Grad Class Event is right around the corner!  On Monday, September 23^rd we will be having our Grad Class Amazing Race at Meenan’s Cove Beach after school.  Come out to compete in teams against your friends and then enjoy a corn boil and barbeque after.  Tickets are $6.00 and will be sold at lunch until Friday.  Don’t have a ride there?? No worries!  A bus will be running from the school to the beach to make sure everyone has a ride there.  Hope to see you there!

Sign Up Sheets are in the office for Grad Photos.  The first sittings will be on October 2, 3, and 4^th.  Please sign up soon.

SPORTS:

The JV Boys Soccer team won their season opener 5- 0 against Harbour View.  Next game is Thursday versus St. Mac’s.

Congrats to the Varsity Boys Soccer team who beat Harbour View last night 2 – 1.  Goals were scored by Ege Kamitoglu and Aiden MacKenzie.  Our next home game is Saturday at 5:00 pm.  Come out and cheer on our boys!

Good Luck to the KVHS Cross Country Team tonight at the SJ Invitational.

Boy’s Hockey try outs forms can be picked up in the Crusader Centre.  See Mrs. Aasen-Haines  - deadline is TODAY.  Try out fee must be paid using Cashless Schools by Friday, September 20^th.

Reminder of 2 sports meetings going on today at lunch:

Swim team as well as anyone wanting to lifeguard for the swim team will be in Room 274.

Golf Team will meet in the Mini gym.  If you cannot attend, see Mr. Rice.

Intermurals are starting Monday September 16^th.  Gym is opened Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 12:35.

NEW THIS YEAR--- Fitness Centre is opened as well Thursday and Friday at 12:35. Everyone is welcome.

GRADE 9 NITE:

Attention all Grade 9 Students –TONIGHT we will be having an event just for you from 6:00 – 7:30.  Come out and meet new people and play some fun games.  Admission by snack, drink or desserts to share.​
