Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:
 
          University degree in business administration, public administration or in a related field, with a major in human resources and three years’ experience in human resources.
          Experience in a supervisory capacity over a department or unit in a complex setting is required.
          Experience working in a complex payroll setting is required.
          Written and spoken competency in English is required.
          A combination of education and experience may be considered.
 
Essential attributes include:
 
          Demonstrated computer literacy with strong skills in all MS Office products.
          The incumbent must have excellent interpretation, analytical, and be able to work independently, accurately, and in a confidential manner.
          Exceptional written, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
 
Salary: This position is a Management Non-Union position and falls under Pay Band 3 ($1,671 - $2,334 bi-weekly, $43,446 - $60,684 annually).

Anglophone South School District invites applications for the following position: 
 
Human Resources Officer
Office of Superintendent
 
TERM POSITION, effective August 7th, 2017 – August 3rd, 2018 with the possibility of extension
This position reports to the Director of Human Resources, Office of the Superintendent
 
The successful applicant will:
 
          Assist the Director of Human Resources to develop, implement, communicate and manage all human resource and payroll services.
          Supervise, evaluate and motivate the Senior Payroll Clerk to achieve desired results.
          Interpret and administer the collective agreements for all employee groups.
          Interpret and administer policies and guidelines, established laws and regulations, and district goals and objectives as they apply to human resources.
          Coordinate the efficient administration of the recruitment process by applying the pertinent legislation, preparing questions, preparing evaluation systems, participating in the interview and evaluating the candidates.
          Interpret and administer the various projects such as; employee family assistance program, worktime flexibility program, and equal employment opportunity program.
          Assist in the investigation and/or review of complaints and concerns to facilitate equitable resolutions.
          Collect and interpret data for position evaluation and classification purposes.
          Reply to requests for retirement planning information.
          Assist in the orientation for new employees.
          Workers’ compensation-distribution, maintenance, processing, and follow-ups of all cases in district.
          Respond to inquiries pertaining to employee records.
          Other duties may be assigned.
