KVHS Morning Announcements

· On the Menu today in the Cafeteria: chicken fajita with rice or spaghetti & meatballs
· Staff Yoga after school today (weather pending) and Yoga Field Trip tomorrow!
· Keep an eye out for dalmations in the hallway. If you find one during advisory, bring it to the office and write your name on the back, to be entered for a chance to win a prize!
· Tomorrow is Monster’s University Day! Make sure to wear all your post secondary clothes!
GUIDANCE
· St. Thomas University will be here on Thursday, November 29th for on the spot admissions. Please sign up in the guidance centre for an appointment time. 11/29
· The University of New Brunswick will be here on Monday, December 3rd for on the spot admissions. Students must apply and pay online before attending. Please sign up in the Guidance Centre for an appointment time. 12/3
· All grade 12 students interested in Saint Mary’s University, there is an information session on Wednesday, November 21st at 7pm at the Hampton Inn in Saint John. There will be an in-depth presentation, prize give aways, and free admission on the spot. Students can register at smu.ca/events. 11/21
· Any Students interested in attending Queen’s University to study Commerce should check out the D & R Sobey Atlantic Admission Award posted in the Guidance Centre.
· Interested in learning more about Chinese culture and travelling to major cultural and historical sites in China?? The China Summer Cultural Program for New Brunswick students will be travelling from NB to China from July 3-20, 2019 on an all inclusive trip. The deadline for application is December 7, 2018. If interested, please see Ms. Levesque for details. 12/7
EVENTS
· In support of Safe Grad 2019 – Jaryd Stanley in concert Thursday, December 6 at 7pm in the KVHS theatre. Tickets are $20 and are available in the KVHS office and at Guardian Drugs.
· Hey KV! We are having a Christmas Coffee House on Wednesday, December 5th. If you are interested in sharing your talents and would like to perform, sign up on the arts board behind the theatre!
· The Renaissance 10th annual used book sale will take place in the KVHS cafeteria on Friday, November 30th from 6-9pm and Saturday, December 1st from 10am-4pm in the KVHS cafeteria. If you have any used books or magazines to donate please bring them to Mrs. Wright’s room, room 136.
GRADS
· Grad clothes will soon be for sale on the Online Cashless School System – keep checking your email for information!
CLUBS – TEAMS
· Ski team forms are now available in the office. We are skiing on Mondays. Please have forms returned by December 1st. It is first come, first serve, please return paperwork to the office to secure your spot.
· Could all members of Renaissance please meet today, Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 12:35pm in Mrs. Wright’s room, room 136. New members are always welcome!
MUSIC - DRAMA – THEATRE – ART
· KVHS Concert Band is selling Saint John Sea Dog flex tickets as a fund raiser. These are flex tickets that can be used at any home game until March 10. If you would like to purchase tickets please contact Ms. Palmer or any band member. The band will be playing the national anthem at the Sea Dogs game on Wednesday, November 21st. Come out to the game and support the band!
· Due to the cancellation of Friday’s auditions for musical, there will be a third singing audition added on Monday, December 3rd. Sign up on the Arts Board.
· Attention Blue Tones members: tomorrow’s rehearsal is for everyone. This is an important rehearsal so please plan to attend. We will start at 3:45pm and finish by 5pm.
· CyberTitan practice is Thursday at lunch. Results for round 1 are in.
· The debate team will meet today in Mrs. Toner’s room. We need to know who will be going to the Fredericton High tournament this Saturday.
· Attention all new Reach For The Top players: there will be a special practice for new Reach players today at 12:30pm in room 228. Other juniors practice in room 230. All Reach players practice after school.

· Could all JV/Varsity soccer teams (boys and girls) come to Mrs. Logan’s room in the science wing at lunch today. Thank you!
