​A few reminders to students – Grade 6 in the cafeteria this week. All students are reminded to pick up their cafeteria lunch before 12:10.

The 10 minute morning break and 5 minute afternoon break are there for you to gather books, use the washroom, have a snack, etc. You should be staying in your own hallway, close to your locker or close the class you have following the break. You should not be in a hallway of a different grade level.

And, at 12:10, please leave the hallways quickly. Before the bell rings, decide where you will be going and go directly there. It should not take students 10 minutes to get to a destination. If you plan to be in a classroom, be sure to check with the teacher before going. All students must be supervised by an adult at lunch.

Sports:

Good luck to the JV Boys’ basketball team as they host Sussex today at 4pm.

The Varsity Boys’ Basketball team will practice from 6-7:30pm.

Attention JV Girls’ Basketball players – your practice on Thursday will run from 5-6:30pm.

Reminder to the Varsity Girls basketball team – you have an extra game this week on Thursday!

If you are a GSA attendee or a former GSA attendee or someone who has even been thinking about coming to GSA, this announcement is for you! There will be a Middle School GSA Event called “February Fiesta” on Saturday, February 4^th at Rothesay High School. Fun, games, learning, pizza, prizes and a Rainbow Pop-Up Shop. If you would like to know more, come to GSA on Tuesday at lunch to find out, or stop by The Wellness Centre, or ask to see Mr. Stu to talk. Permission slips are due on Monday Jan 30^th.

Are you in Grade 8 and interested in joining the ‘Photography Club’?  You’ll be sent out on assignment to take photos for the QMS yearbook!  Any Grade 8 students are welcome to join.  Please meet in the art room today during the second half of lunch so we can get started!

Pie in the Face!!! Tickets are on sale until Thursday on an opportunity to pie a teacher in the face. Tickets will be sold at lunch, in the main lobby. The event will be this Friday, during the 2^nd half of lunch in the gym with free entry. Some staff who have volunteered: Mme Dow, Mr. Melanson, Mrs. Rourke, Mrs. Foley, Mme Page, Mme Cusack, Mme McLean, Mrs. Rattray, Mrs. Spinks and Mr. Nelson. All proceeds will be donated to the Kids Help Phone.
