Friday is going to be a Halloween theme day! All staff and students are encouraged to dress in Halloween themed clothing or in a costume. If you choose to wear a costume, please do not wear a mask or bring any accessories that would be against school rules. Things like guns, knives, swords, etc. will not be allowed. Hats are allowed if they go with your costume but face paint should be kept to a minimum. Class points will be awarded for percentage of participation.

This is the last week to order your yearbook if you’d like to take advantage of the 4 Free Icons special included with the add on of personalization. Please order directly through the Jostens Capture Memories link on the QMS homepage. This offer ends on Friday.

A new trend was spotted outside yesterday concerning masks, students were grabbing other peoples masks with the intent of breaking the ear strings making the mask useless. DO NOT touch another person’s mask, it is unsanitary and completely unacceptable, falling under the “hands to self” policy. You do not need to wear your mask outside but it should be safely tucked in your pocket, ready to be put back on when you reenter the building. Many are also being lost outside due to carelessness. A reminder that you should always have a spare mask with you, do not rely on the office to replace your lost or broken mask.

All homerooms are asked to do a locker and backpack clean out before the end of the week, we are noticing some foul odours starting to escape from lockers!

Students are also reminded to keep the noise down while in the washrooms. There should be no more people in the washrooms than stalls or urinals and it is not social time. Noise from the washrooms echoes and it is quite disruptive to the classes who are located close by.
