Come on out and support the Girls Varsity Soccer Team today at 4:00pm! QMS is playing Sussex Middle on our home field.  Good luck Girls!

​The Varsity Boys soccer team played an awesome game last night against RPS – the team controlled the ball throughout the whole game and the game ended in a tie. The Boys host Hampton Middle School on Tuesday at 4:00pm.

Today all Cross Country runners are welcome to meet outside the front entrance for the pizza lunch, at 11:50.  Please sign in at the gym FIRST, before coming outside.

Music:

Singing Club:

If you like singing, please consider joining the Thursday Singing Club!  We will be meeting after school, starting next week.  The group sings a lot of current songs and members have a lot of say in what songs we sing.  Sign up outside the Music Room.

Band:

If you are in grade 7 or 8 and have signed up for Band, please stop by the music room sometime at lunch to pick up an information letter to be taken home.  If you would still like to sign up for band, you can still do this today.

Art:

Special thanks to Kaiden Christie, Gwen Roberts, Bridget Winchester and Sadie Crilley for staying after school yesterday and coming in early this morning to help assemble the Gr. 8 Collaborative Value Mural!

With 185 different sections to glue in place, it’s a big undertaking and your help is greatly appreciated!

We have had an amazing response to our Locker Full of Prizes contest, tickets are selling like hot cakes! Many thanks to everyone who has purchased tickets so far. Your ticket gives you a chance to have your name drawn to then draw a combination from a jar. IF you draw the right combination and it opens the locker, you win everything inside! If it is not the right combination, we continue to sell tickets and to draw more names the following day. Your name stays in the draw until the locker is opened. So exciting!!! We have drawn 3 tickets today, please come to the office during the break between periods 2 and 3 to draw your combinations. Teachers, please excuse them for the first few minutes of period 3 while they try to open the locker. We will announce right before lunch if the locker was opened or not and if tickets will again be on sale at lunch. 

Burkett’s Battle Drones will continue to take orders for popcorn today during the lunch period.  Popcorn is $1 per bag and must be paid in advance. Delivery will be next week-during first half of lunch by grade level.

Class proceeds from today’s PJ day will go toward the Shining Horizons fundraiser.  

Yearbooks are now on sale, via the QMS website ONLY, click the icon “Capture Memories” Josten’s link.  For the month of October (ONLY), if you choose to personalize the cover with your name, you will receive free icons.  Base price is $30 for a 56 page full-color, hard cover book, highlighting the events of the school year

Any students who have brought in proof of their vaccination (COVID) can show the document to their homeroom teacher.
