CAFETERIA The Cafeteria is closed today.
Renaissance – Renaissance would like to say a HUGE Thank You to all staff and students who brought in Masks and socks before the break.  A total of 1509 items were collected with 1118 masks and 391 pairs of socks.  The winning Advisories are as follows: 3rd Place with 140 items Ms. Galbraith’s Advisory.  2nd place with 161 items Mr. McKinnon’s Advisory.  1st place with 299 items Mrs. Wright’s Advisory.  We would also like to congratulate the 2020 winner of the sock drive since it was not announced last year.  Congratulations to Mr. Cyr’s Advisory.  For the winning Advisories, your Pitas will be delivered soon.  Thank you to everyone who contributed.
Attention Spring Sport Athletes - This is the last call for sign ups to tryout for any of Badminton, Volleyball or Rugby!!! If you haven't signed up by Tuesday 4 pm, you will not be allowed to try out!! "
Attention Reach for the Top players- Grade 9 and 10 players practice today at lunch in room 228.  There is no senior practice today.  A reminder that there is after school practice tomorrow for all players online and in person.

CanHack registration is open. What is CanHack? It’s the largest cybersecurity hacking competition for middle and high school students. Participants 13 years and older of all skill levels are encouraged to compete. Competitors must reverse-engineer, break, hack, decrypt, and think creatively and critically to solve the challenges and capture the digital flags. See Mrs. LeBlanc in Room 285 if you would like to represent KVHS. You can compete alone or in teams of up to 5.  The series of games can be played anytime between March 16 and March 30. Practice platform is available now.
YEARBOOK - Grad write up for the Yearbook are due TODAY.  Please email them to Ms. Smith.
Attention Reach for the Top - Senior practice in room 228 at lunch and in room 114 after school.  Grade 9 and 10 players practice in room 230 at lunch.
Attention Advisory Teachers:  Please check your email regarding results and qualifiers for the Geography Challenge.   Please tell those in your advisory who qualified about our meeting today at 1:05pm.  
The B version of the quiz will reopen after Mrs. Wright's presentation today for any students who did not get a chance to participate already.

CAFETERIA – On the Menu today:  Pulled pork on a bun with wedges or side salad.  Spaghetti with meat sauce.  Potatoes and Gravy.  Chicken burgers, hamburgers, wraps, sandwiches and pizza.
SPRING SPORTS -   Anyone interested in playing a Spring sport is asked to listen carefully.  All Spring sports will be ready to start shortly after March Break. Being offered thus far are the following.    Jr G Volleyball, Jr B Volleyball, Sr G Volleyball, Sr B Volleyball, Boys Touch Rugby, Girls Touch Rugby, and Badminton.
If you are interested in trying out for any of these sports, you must use the Sign-Up Genius page created by the school, in order for us to plan these tryouts effectively. An email will be sent home with the links to the sign ups.

It is time for the Canadian Geographic challenge.  Immediately after announcements please start the test for all students.  The link to the online quiz is in an email sent this morning.  You do not need to join the Skype call unless you have questions or issues.  Thanks for your help with this activity!

GUIDANCE - Staff and students are invited on Wednesday, February 24th to wear a pink shirt to raise awareness about bullying.  We encourage everyone to practice kindness and wear pink to symbolize that you do not tolerate bullying.

MATH CONTEST -A reminder to all students who signed up to write the Pascal, Caley or Fermat Waterloo math contest that it is taking place tomorrow during advisory and period 2. You should have confirmed by now with Mrs. Baker if you are writing in person or via teams.

GRAD EVENT - A decision regarding the Grad Class Outdoor activity which was scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday will be made at 3:30 today.  Presently there are not enough people to run the event.  If you were waiting on signing up, please go ahead and do so by 3:00 this afternoon.  If the event is running, the times will be from 6:00 – 7:30.

Guidance – UNB is offering individual, accelerated admissions meetings for current Grade 12 students next week.  Please see Mrs. Jensen’s email, the Grad Class Teams site, or your Guidance Counsellor for more information on how to register.
SPRING SPORTS - Please be aware that sign ups for various Spring Sports will be happening using Sign up Genius, the entire week leading up to March Break. Badminton, and Volleyball will start early after March break, and we need to have exact numbers in order to slot everybody in for these tryouts. More info will be made available to you soon. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please see Mr. Rice.
