​A federal Election is being held in Canada on September 20^th.  Students who are at least 18 years of age on that date are eligible to vote.  Elections Canada will also hire students who are at least 16 years old by September 20^th to work at the election polls at a rate of $17.72 per hour plus overtime.  If you are interested in working on this election, you must apply immediately by either going to the Elections Canada website and clicking on the section entitled “Jobs” or calling the number that is on an Elections Canada Poster displayed in your school.  Your absence from school on Election Day will not be counted against you.

KVHS Band & Choir - There will be an information session after school on Tuesday, September 14 for any students interested in joining the KVHS band or KVHS choir.  See you on Tuesday after school in the Music Room.

Field Hockey – KVHS Girl’s Field Hockey team beat Sussex 3 – 0, Wiebke Schubert scored twice, Paige Fletcher scored the other goal and Claire Mills got the shut out.  The Teams next game is Saturday, 8:00 a.m. versus Harbour View High at UNBSJ field.  Any girls interested in playing field hockey this year but have not been to a tryout must see Mr. Doiron this morning in Room 006.

Cross Country – We will be meeting Monday and Thursday afterschool for a run.  Please come to Room 241 – Ms. Dykeman’s classroom right after school on Monday.  Anyone still interested but have not told Ms. Dykeman, please come to Room 241 right after the lunch bell to let her know.

GSA - The GSA will meet today in Room 404.  New and returning members are welcome.
