​A federal Election is being held in Canada on September 20^th.  Students who are at least 18 years of age on that date are eligible to vote.  Elections Canada will also hire students who are at least 16 years old by September 20^th to work at the election polls at a rate of $17.72 per hour plus overtime.  If you are interested in working on this election, you must apply immediately by either going to the Elections Canada website and clicking on the section entitled “Jobs” or calling the number that is on an Elections Canada Poster displayed in your school.  Your absence from school on Election Day will not be counted against you.

Cross Country – Interested in running?  Willing to commit to two runs a week afterschool?  Come join Cross Country!  There will be a brief meeting right after the lunch bell in Room 241 Ms. Dykeman’s new classroom.

KVHS Band & Choir - There will be an information session after school on Tuesday, September 14 for any students interested in joining the KVHS band or KVHS choir.  See you on Tuesday after school in the Music Room.

Field Hockey - Any girls interested in playing field hockey this year but have not been to a tryout must see Mr. Doiron this morning in Room 006.

REACH FOR THE TOP: Attention grade 9 students.  Do you like trivia, and quiz games like Jeopardy and Trivial Pursuit?  If you do, the KVHS Reach for the Top team is for you!  The Reach team plays academic quiz games against other schools in N.B. and all also travels out of province when rules allow it to play against teams from all over Canada. 

There will be a meeting today at 1pm in room 228 for any students who would like more information about the team. You can also show up early if you would like to play for fun before the meeting. If you are not able to attend, you can also see Mr. Thorne in room 228 during breaks.
