KVHS Morning Announcements
April 12, 2019
GENERAL INFO
·        Renaissance is selling flowers at the musical for $3 each. Purchase one to show your support for a cast or crew member!
 
·        If you are in grade 10 or 11 this announcement is for you! On Wednesday, April 24th at 6:30pm there will be laser tag for grade 10s and 11s. Tickets will be available the week before so don’t forget to stop by the table in the lobby to get yours. This night will be tons of fun so don’t miss out!
 
·        Are you interested in building your leadership skills? On April 17th at KVHS we are hosting a one day student leadership conference with the Canadian Student Leadership Conference with the Canadian Student Leadership association. The cost to attend is $25 and includes lunch. To register please see Mrs. Wright in room 136 by April 10th.
 
ATHLETICS
·        Track and field practice and registration at noon today in the gym. See you there!
 
ACADEMICS
·        Mrs. Murray’s period 1 and 2 Social Studies classes are in Lab 415 today.
 
·        Anyone interested in taking COOP next year must have their application form signed by a guardian and given to Mr. Doiron by Friday, April 12th at noon.
 
·        If you are a grade 9 student who just finished art and would like to pick up your art projects, they will be outside of the art room.
 
GRADS
·        Hey grads! On April 18th we will be having an Easter Egg hunt in celebration of Easter! The cost is $5 and you must come in teams of 4. You have a chance to win some egg-cellent prizes!
GUIDANCE
·        NBCC is hosting a Trades & Tech Career Exploration for girls on May 28. This is a day that fosters a positive environment in which young women have the opportunity to hear speakers discuss the rewards and challenges of their chosen career paths and to connect with mentors from their community. If you are interested in this opportunity, please see Mrs. Levesque in the Guidance Office to sign up.
 
·        Applications for COOP 120, PE Leadership 120, Outdoor Pursuits 110 and Reading Tutor 120 are due today.
 
 
CLUBS
·        Classic Gaming Club meets today at lunch in Mr. Ouellet’s room
 
·        Concert Band students: please remember that we are rehearsing on Monday and Thursday next week. Don’t forget to bring your instrument on Monday!
 
·        Attention all Me to We members: there will be a meeting today in Ms. Pynn’s room at the beginning of lunch! New members are always welcome!
 
·        Good luck to the senior Reach for the Top Team as they travel to Toronto for an invitational event tomorrow against many of the top teams in Canada. Congratulations also go to the senior team for winning KV’s 38th consecutive NB tournament on the weekend. KV’s other teams also did well finishing 3rd in each of their divisions.
