​Hi everyone,

It’s Lisa Jardine calling from Leatherbarrow Primary School with a Tuesday talk mail.

For those of you who ordered school clothing, it has arrived! If the clothing is a gift/surprise, please email your child’s teacher or contact the office by Thursday so that we do not send it home with your child. We can keep it here at the school until you are able to pick it up. Parent/teacher might be a convenient time. If we haven’t heard from you by this Thursday, we will send the clothing home on Friday.

Lifetouch has promised that school photo proofs will arrive at the school this week. I promise that as soon as we get them, we will send them home. If you are not happy with the proofs and wish to have your child’s photo redone, retakes will be on Monday, November 28^th. I think there is a place on the envelope to indicate if you would like to have photos redone. It is always a good idea to also call the office or send a note with your child on retake day just to confirm.

Last year, because of Covid restrictions, we held our Christmas concerts outside on our playground. Feedback from parents/guardians was so positive that we are going to do a similar format again this year. We have scheduled our Christmas concerts for Monday, Dec. 19^th and Wednesday, Dec. 21^st so that we do not interfere with HES concerts which are on Tuesday, Dec. 20^th. All kindergarten and grade 2 students will perform on Monday, and all grade 1 students will perform on Wednesday. A complete schedule of all concert times will be in next week’s December newsletter and in each teacher’s weekly newsletter. Each class will buddy with one other class and sing outside on our playground. Families will then join their child for a Nature Walk on the trail and come inside the classroom for hot chocolate and conversation.
