Athletics

·       If you have any uniforms, please bring them to Mme. Prosser today or Mr. Throop tomorrow.

 

Other:

·       students to make sure you bring a water bottle with you to school every day!  Stay hydrated in this nice weather.

·       Year books will be going on sale tomorrow at recess.  They will $20 each and we only have a limited amount so they will be sold on a first come first serve basis.

Athletics

·       Good luck to our Softball team, who Softball Provincials this weekend.

·       Any Athlete with a uniform from any sport but softball, please return them to Mr. Throop as soon as possible.

On the Go at Lunch Today:

·         On the back soccer field (weather permitting) wiffle ball (Max of 20 students), Soccer (Max 24 students) and Spike ball (Max 10 students) Students are asked to meet at the gym and are directed by the duty teacher out to the back field.

 

  Other:

·       Attention all students who did not purchase a yearbook this year and would like purchase one.  We will have some extra to sell next Thursday, we only have a limited number so it will be first come first serve basis.  The cost will be $20 each.  Stay tuned for more information to follow.

·       Pie in the Eye will be postponed to next Thursday.

·       No HMS Athletic Activities Today after school

On the Go at Lunch Today:

·         On the back soccer field (weather permitting) wiffle ball (Max of 20 students), Soccer (Max 24 students) and Spike ball (Max 10 students) Students are asked to meet at the gym and are directed by the duty teacher out to the back field.

 

 

Other:

·       There will be a mandatory meeting for all students attending the grade 8 trip today in the theater during wildcat.

On the After School Today:

·       Softball game today after school against Sussex Middle School at the Ron Mahoney Field.  Game time is 4PM.

On the Go at Lunch Today:

·         On the back soccer field (weather permitting) wiffle ball (Max of 20 students), Soccer (Max 24 students) and Spike ball (Max 10 students)  Students are asked to meet at the gym and are directed by the duty teacher out to the back field.

 

 

Other:

·       Pie in the Eye, tickets will be on sale first half of lunch hour today in the student lounge.  Purchase your tickets for $2 each.

·       Garden Club will meet tomorrow (Thursday) instead of today – 2nd half of lunch – ready to plant in the garden

·       There are still 18 Library books out.  Please see the librarian if you have any questions.  These books must be paid for or replaced if they are not returned.

·       Reminder grade 8’s will be visiting the high school.  Teachers please see the email from Mrs. Turpin last week.

Athletics

No HMS Scheduled Activities today.  Any athlete with a uniform from any sport but softball, please return to Mr. Throop as soon as possible.

On the Go at Lunch Today:

Weather permitting on the back field second half of lunch:

·         Whiffle Ball with a max of 20 students.

·         Soccer with a max of 24 students

·         Spike ball with a max of 10 students.

 

Other:

·       Soap derby this past weekend HMS won 3rd place in 10 races!! Congratulations to our driver Ellie MacGregor and the pit crew, Bridget Wood, Luce MacGregor, Levi Richard, and Alex Wood.

·       Tickets for Pie in the Eye – will go on sale today at noon in the office during second half of noon hour.  Tickets will be $2.00 each.

·       Den is closed today at lunch.

·       Today is Freezie Friday! Bring you dollar for a cold treat…limit 2 per customer.

·       Garden club News – we are having a plant sale Today during lunch.  All plants $1-$3- tomatoes, flowers, house plants!  Garden Club members meet today during 2nd half of lunch to get plants ready!

·       The exciting soap box derby event is happening this Saturday in Saint John.  Come out to Craston Avenue to cheer on our Wildcats Team!

·       Band members – could all band members from both beginner and concert bands see Mr. Giberson at the start of lunch for some information.

·       Hey Wildcats Joan me in wishing good luck to our Soap Box Driver Elli MacGregor and pit crew Luce MacGregor, Bridget Wood as they are off to the races.  All students are welcome to come to watch this exciting event that takes place all day on Saturday in Saint John on Cranston Avenue!!  Go Wild Cats go.

Athletics

·        Your HMS Wildcats had quite the day yesterday, scoring a whopping 117 points, finishing only 9 points behind the 1st place QMS Cougars!  Your wildcats finished in 2nd this year, well ahead of rival schools RPS, HMMS, Belleisle and MCS!  Great job to all our athletes!  We are super proud of your accomplishments, but prouder of your effort and the way you represented our school all day long.

On the After School Today:

·        Run club with Mr. Herron is tonight from 7-8 pm.

On the Go at Lunch Today:

·         On the back field Whiffle Ball (20 students Max) and Soccer (24 students Max) Students are to meet at the Gym and are directed by duty teacher out to the back field.

 

Other:

·       Congratulations to both the beginner band and Concert band for their excellent performance yesterday.  Mr. Giberson could not be more proud of your hard work and musician ship. Well done!

·       Plant sale on Friday.

·       Any grade 8 students who want to submit their SRCC Application to Hampton High School must get it to the office no later than tomorrow morning as the application are the applications will be sent out the high school tomorrow morning.

Athletics

·        Track and field practice on the back soccer field 2nd half of lunch.

·        The girls’ softball team had a great weekend of learning at their Jamboree. Kenisha Pathirana got 2 singles and Deanna Richard go an RBI. 

On the After School Today:

·        Softball team will host Belleisle after school today at the Ron Mahoney Field in Dutch Point Park.  Game time is at 4:00PM.  HMS Team please meet at the gym after school and walk as a team to the field.

On the Go at Lunch Today:

·         2nd half of lunch weather permitting on the back field Wiffle Ball (Max of 20 students) and Soccer (Max 24 students).  Students who want to participate are asked to mee at the gym and are directed by duty teacher to the back field.

 

Other:

·       June is PRIDE MONTH where we recognize and appreciate and honor the courage and resilience that 2SLGBTQ1+ communities have shown over the years.  Pride is celebrated to promote the constant fight for equality in this community.  It is a platform to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.  Pride is a wonderful celebration rooted in peaceful protest to open the eyes of those who struggle to see outside the binary to understand that gender and sexuality are fluid.  That these differences are what make people unique.

·       No Squirt Guns are allowed in the school.  If you are caught with one, it will be confiscated and you will not get it back, so do not bring them to school if you do not want to loose it.

Athletics

·        Congratulation to the girls softball team on their win last night against Harry Miller Middle School 14-12.  Deanna Richard, Sophie Johnston, Arissa Morton, Sacha Malatestinic and Avery Smith all got singles.  Sacha Malatestinic also go a double and a home run and Natalie Adams got an RBI, winning the game!  

·        The Gym will be closed today at lunch.

On the After School Today:

·        Good luck to our softball team who will be taking part in the KV Softball Jamboree today and tomorrow at Wells field in French Village!

On the Go at Lunch Today:

·         Students have the opportunity to play soccer (limit 28 students) or Whiffle-Ball (limit 20 students).  Students are to meet the duty teach at the gym when the warning bell rings.

 

Other:

·       All classes with marigolds in their homerooms, please bring your trays to the tech lab by the end of the today!  Please make sure they are sufficiently watered for the weekend!  Thank you for taking such good care of your plants.

·       The Den will be closed today at lunch.

·       Reminder that all books are due back in the library next Wednesday.  Books can no longer be checked out.  If you have any questions about a book you have please see Mrs. Rourke the librarian next Wednesday.

·       Variety Show Tickets will be on sale at recess in the theater.  There are only 30 tickets available, and it will be a first come first serve bases.  If you do not have a ticket, you will not be able to attend.  Ther will be NO tickets at the door.

·       The track and field wildcat group all meet in the gym today.​
