​Athletics

·        JV Boys Soccer Team lost a tough match 2-0 to Harry Miller Middle School yesterday.  Great effort boys

·        JV Girls Soccer Team were also defeated 2-0 yesterday by Quispamsis Middle School.   

On the go today in HMS Athletics:

·        Badminton Team Tryouts today after school until 4pm.

·        Girls JV Soccer practice today from 3:15-4:30pm.

·        Boys Varsity Soccer team hosts HMMS today, game time is 4PM.  Good luck boys!

·        Running club tonight with Mr. Herron.  The run begins at 7PM.

On the go today in HMS Athletics:

·        Badminton tryouts in the gym 2nd half today for any grade level.

Other:

·        Guitar Club today in Mr. Hebert’s room.  Everyone is welcome!

·        Wildcats you can get help to organize your locker.  There will be a sign up sheet outside Ms. Materniak’s office across from the library where you will put your name, homeroom and wildcat.  Someone from the organization wildcat will get you from your wildcat to help organize with you.

·        Bookfair – If anyone is interested in helping with the bookfair next month please see Mrs. Rourke in the library the first half of lunch today.

·        Fall Fair – Tomorrow is our Fall Fair.   There will be treats available for purchase plus new to you items so perhaps you would like to bring some money with your tomorrow, but it is not necessary.

​Athletics

·       JV Boys were defeated by QMS yesterday.  Great efforts

·       Varsity Boys were defeated 4-0

On the go today in HMS Athletics:

·       Badminton Team Tryouts today after school until 4pm. This tryout is only for players on the 1st cut list posted outside of the gym and anyone who was not able to make tryouts last week.

·       The Boys JV Soccer team hosts HMMS today, game time is 4pm. Good luck boys!

·       Girls JV Soccer team travel to QMS today, game time is 4pm. Good luck girls!

·       Badminton tryouts in the gym 2nd half today for any grade level!

 

Other:

·       Writers Corner today during the entire lunch hour in room in Ms. Evans room. 

·       Guitar Club tomorrow in Mr. Hebert’s room.  Everyone is welcome!

·       Students that are in charge of Outdoor Fall Fair, games are to go to Mrs. Small’s

·       Wildcats you can get help to organize your locker.  There will be a sign up sheet outside Ms. Materniak’s office across from the library where you will put your name, homeroom and wildcat.  Someone from the organization wildcat will get you from your wildcat to help organize with you.

​Athletics

·        Congratulations to Peyton Piercey who finished in 1st place among grade 8 runners at last week’s CrossCountry competition put on by Saint John Track Club and the UNBSJ Reds Program.  Varsity Boys Soccer team.

·        Varsity Boys Soccer hosts SMS today.

·        Wildcat Task Force: Students who have signed p to make posters mee in room 304 today at noon.  You can bring your lunch.

·        Voting will take place today at noon hour. Grade 7&8 Students are to vote in the theater and grade 6 students are voting in room 302.

Athletics

·        Varsity Boys Soccer team lost 3-0 to MCS yesterday.

·        Varsity Boys Soccer hosts SMS today.  Game time is 4PM.  Good luck boys!

·        The Varsity Girls Soccer team were defeated by QMS yesterday, Good effort girls.

·        In the gym @ Noon, 2nd half - Badminton tryouts for grade 6 students only.  Last tryout before 1st cut list which will be posted on Monday.

Other:

·        KD day today at lunch. $2.00 a bowl.

·        Voting will take place today at noon hour. Grade 7&8 Students are to vote in the theater and grade 6 students are voting in room 302.

·        Art Club is cancelled today and will be back on next Tuesday.

·        Peace Poster Art contest for Grade 6s is due next Wednesday, October 23.

·        Silent Book Club on Monday, October 21st – Readers remember to bring your book on Monday.

·        Band – Band will begin on Monday!  If any students have band registration forms, please go see Mr. Giberson!

Athletics

·        JV Girls defeated Belleisle 2-0 yesterday! Scoring for your wildcats were Sydney Shannon and Lexi Mercer, and having a shout out in goal was Anna Butler.

·        The Varsity Boys Soccer team were defeated by RPS yesterday.  Great effort boys

·        The Varsity Girls Soccer team were defeated by QMS yesterday, Good effort girls.

·        Badminton Tryouts in he gym today after school from 3-4 PM

·        The JV Boys Soccer team host MCS today.  Game time is at 4PM.  Good luck boys

·        Running club – there will be no running club tonight!

·        In the gym @ Noon, 2nd half - Badminton tryouts for grade 7 & 8 students only!  Maximum is 36.

Other:

·        KD day is this Friday at lunch.  Buy Kraft Dinner for $2 a bowl.

·        HMS raised $368.00 for Terry Fox on Friday. 

·        Responsible Raiders took the lead in house points on Friday!! Way to go Raiders.

·        Guitar club is taking place today in Mr. Hebert’s room at lunch.

​Athletics

·        Varsity Girls Soccer Team were defeated by Rothesay Park 1-0.

·        Varsity Boys Soccer Team were defeated 3-1 by Sussex Middle.

·        JV Boys lost 5-0 at Lands of RNS yesterday.

·        Badminton Tryouts in the gym today after school from 3-4PM

·        Varsity Boys soccer team travel to the Arthur Miller field today to take on RPS.  Game time is at 4PM, Good luck boys.

·        Official Badminton team tryouts will begin next week.  Please listen to announcements if you are interested.

·        Reminder school picture orders are tomorrow Thursday.

·        KD day is this Friday at lunch.  Buy Kraft Dinner for $2 a bowl.

·        Peer Helper meeting for anyone who interested in joining this will take place today at 12PM sharp in room 304, just off the cafeteria

·        Tech Lab – just a reminder the tech lab will be opened second half of lunch.  Students should line up along the lockers when the warning bell rings.

·        Reminder to students that HMS is a HANDS OFF, FEET OFF, and WORDS OFF school.  This is especially true when students are outside.  There is a lot of contact taking place during soccer games.  There should be no pushing, shoving, kicking, or tackling taking place.

·        Library is closed at Lunch today.

·        JV Girls soccer team defeated HMMS 1-0 yesterday.  Ashley Goobie and Anna Butler shared the shut out in goal.  Scoring for your wildcats was Lexi Mercer!  Great job girls

·        Varsity Girls soccer team was defeated by RPS yesterday 5-0.  Great effort girls

·        There is badminton club after school today until 4PM.

·        JV Girls Soccer team practices today from 3:15-4:30PM

·        Varsity Boys soccer team hosts QMS today, game time is 4PM.  Good luck boys!

·        Middles and Littles:  Do you lie to play chess?  Interested in being a leader and parenting with a student from Leatherbarrow to play chess and help them learn?  This might be for you.  Looking for limited number of students to go to Leatherbarrow once a week during wildcat and the beginning of lunch.  Please see Ms. Materniak’s office bulletin board for an application.  Applications are do by Thursday.  

·        Guitar Club takes place tomorrow in Mr. Hebert’s room.  Please bring your instruments if possible.

·        There is a Cross-Country meet at the park at Reversing Falls today beginning at 4PM.  Good luck to any of our runner participating.

·        In the gym @ Noon, 2nd half - Badminton club in the gym today, open to grade 6 and 7 students only. Maximum is 36.

Other:

·        TTRPG Club meet today after school in Mr. Holland’s room at 3:00 PM.

·        GSA meeting today at noon in Room 203.  Bring lunches and art supplies and friends.
