Message from TRHS

Good afternoon from TRHS,

1. All students in Music 10, 11, and 12 will be going to the POPS Concert tomorrow at Mount Allison University.  If you haven't yet filled out the permission slip sent home, please ask your son/daughter for it.  Another copy is attached, should you need it.

2. We are pleased to be celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Tantramar Wetlands Center tomorrow!  Please see the TRHS website for more information.

3. Monday, Oct. 15th students in grades 11 & 12 will be attending the AARAO post-secondary fair at the Moncton Coliseum.  Students will be transported there by bus.  That evening, the fair is open to the public from 6:00-8:00pm and we encourage you to attend with your child to investigate post-secondary options.  Attached please find the student resource guide.

4. On Tuesday, Oct. 16th the first of three public meetings organized by the District Education Council and Superintendent will take place to determine the fate of our three Sackville Schools.  We hope you can join us at TRHS at 7pm for this important meeting that will affect our entire community.

Based on the District Education Council’s recommendation last May, a sustainability study is underway, which consists of three public meetings, culminating in a proposal by the DEC to the Dept. of Education on the reconfiguration of our schools by the end of November.  Please see the ASD-E website where you can find more information, are able to submit feedback and request to present at the second meeting scheduled for Nov. 12th.
