Congratulations to the Track & Field team who finished 3rd overall at the district championships!  All athletes performed well and represented the school with pride!

Congratulations to the girls Softball team on winning their game against Riverview East in the semi-finals on Friday!  We want to wish them good luck as they play Evergreen in the finals tomorrow after school.

  • The grade 6 & 7s are going to RHS tomorrow for a play. Lunch tomorrow will be switched - grade 8s lunch time will be 11:27am to 12:08pm then they will go to 4th period. The grade 6 & 7s will have lunch from 12:13-1:00pm. Grade 7s eat the first half then the grade 6s (same as usual only during 5th period). Grade 6 & 7s will only have classes that day during the last two periods.

     

  • We are proud of our grade 8 GSA for their planning and effort with Mrs. Steeves. The presentation on Thursday was informative and heart-felt. Great work! And to our audience, we are all equally proud of the respect and attention that was paid to the presentation. Thank you!

  • Today is Food Allergy Awareness Day. Today we remember that food allergies are not something to be taken lightly. Be respectful of those with food allergies. Teachers, Mrs. Jardine sent you a link in your emails with Caroline’s story to show at DSB. Would all students/teachers/EAs wearing purple please come down to the cafeteria after announcements for a picture. Congratulations goes out to the grade 7 & 8 badminton team that represented RMS really well this weekend at the district championship, and a special congratulations to Yzabel Achas and Ella Webster that won a bronze during the girls doubles tournament!

Congratulations to Sam Acker for receiving a medal for Outstanding Male Wrestler for the district.  All RMS students represented RMS very well.

We were proud last evening to be able to celebrate with one of our volunteers, Krista Fenety in our Breakfast Program.  It was a great evening at the Riverview Volunteer Recognition Night.

Congrats to all mixed badminton players who represented the school in last night’s tournament.  Also, a big congratulations to Yzabel Achas and Owen Robison for winning the tournament consolation final. 

All players registered to play in the badminton singles’ tournament are asked to see Mr. Gautreau in his class at break this morning.

  • If you’re interested in attending Teen Talks, a motivating workshop for girls ages 12-16, there will be 5 (2 hour) workshops held at Mckenzie College. It begins May 1st and requires a registration fee of $150. Registration is due by April 23rd and can be done by calling 852-6538.

     

  • This Saturday, April 21st, is Community Clean Up day in Riverview. Everyone will be meeting at the Riverview Lion’s Club (701 Coverdale Rd.) where there will be bags, gloves, and a list of locations that need your help. After clean up, there will be a BBQ as a thank you for everyone’s hard work.
