·        This afternoon we have Maika Branch, an MHS grade 111 student & author for Z assemblies. First one is at 1:05pm for 6A-7D (6/7G) & 1:50pm for Grades 7E-8F (7/8H). Please wait to be called down to the theatre.

·        Congratulations to the Boys Division I Basketball Team on winning their provincials this weekend! They will also be practicing today after school till 4:30pm.

·        A reminder to teachers of the 6/7 & 7/8 late immersion classes that you are covering for Mme. Allen in Room 1111 & Mme. Roy in Room 1101 respectively during the periods that you would normally teach those late immersion classes.

·        Congrats to the RMS Chess Team. Grade 8 Hunter Lutes (Top 5 in District), Grade 7 Keagan Jardine (Top 5 in District), Grade 7 Cameron Gould (3rd place going to provincials in Edmunston), Grade 6 Vrishab Khosla (2nd place – going to provincials), Grade 6 Jack Allen – Last year’s provincial champion returning to defend.

  • We are so proud of Noah Mann for recieving a grant of $100 from the Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists for the work he did with his Project Based Learning. He plans to use the money to take his PBL to the next level and focus on his STEM project. (see picture below)

The annual AESD Fill The Bus campaign is underway. All non-perishable food donations will be collected until December 17th and will go to the Food Depot Alimentaire. Please help us to help families in need this holiday season.  

December Art Contest - The artwork theme is Landscape, they must be painted or coloured and submitted by December 16th. 

Are you interested in fresh air and fun at lunch time? On Tuesdays, Mrs. Kenny will be supervising up to 12 students who are interested in going to the Rebecca Schofield Park from 12:30 -1.  In order to be part of this exciting lunch time activity, sign up at the office.

Jacob Pineau and Liam Walsh are hosting a Ball Hockey Tournament for grade 7 students on December 13th from 2:40 until 4:30 p.m. in the gym for their PBL project. There will be a sign up sheet outside the office.

There will be a short meeting for the Boys' Volleyball team in Mr. Burkett's room at recess. 

Girls second basketball tryout will be today after school from 4 to 5. There will be another tryout next week. 

If you ordered cookie dough from Mr. Mazerolle, see him today for your order. 

Mme. Auffray is requesting any small (single use) plastic water bottles for science experiments.

​Winter Wonderland dance at RMS on December 5th, 2019 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.  Tickets will be sold in the cafeteria at lunch for $5.00 a ticket or $4.00 with a non-perishable food donation for fill the bus. There will be no tickets sold at the door.  IMPORTANT CORRECTION in the December newsletter the dance is Thursday not Wednesday, sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

Big RMS Congratulations and Thank You to all participants, helpers, and organizers especially to Mrs. Landers and Mr. Lloyd for the Coffee House success last evening.  It was Fabulous!  

Congratulations to the boys' volleyball team for their win last night against Maplehurst.  They finished the regular season with 5 wins and 1 loss.  The boys' will play their first playoff game here on Monday against Shediac Cape.  There will be a boys' volleyball practice today after school. 

Good luck to the girls' volleyball team who will be playing their last regular season game today after school at Sunny Brae. 

Congratulations to Lauren Smith-West who won first place in the 50 meter breaststroke for the girls' 11 to 12 category at a swim meet in PEI.
