Parent teacher interviews will be held Thursday December 8th starting at 2:30 with the last appointment at 5:40. Interviews will occur Friday December 9th starting at 8:20 with the last appointment at 11:00am. To schedule an interview

School calendar orders and payments are due December 9th.

All students will travel to the Avenir Center on December 12th to watch a World Junior hockey game. Permission forms will be sent home later this week and must be returned signed in order for students to attend. Please send your child with a bagged lunch.

A few reminders that we would like to make you aware of:
- The first bus arrives at approximately 7:45am and classes begin at 8:10am. Please, ensure your child is on time. Dismissal is at 2:15pm.
- The student fee is $25 which covers the cost of materials that your child will need daily in the classroom. Please send your child in with a bookbag, lunch bag, water bottle, indoor shoes, and appropriate clothing for the
daily weather.
- Toys, stuffies, trading cards, and mobile devices are to stay home.
- Please check our facebook parent group page for updates and information. You can find the page by searching
RCS Parent/Guardian Info in facebook. You can also find information on our school website.
- We are seeking volunteers to help run our lunch program. If you are available, please contact Mr. Keirstead
- Breakfast is available every day for all students.
- We are a Nut free school. Please keep this in mind when sending in food with your child.
- Hot lunch will begin later in October, and we plan to offer lunch Tuesday and Thursday. If we receive more volunteers, we may be able to offer more days.
- When entering the building parents must use the door buzzer on the front entrance. If you would like to meet with a staff member, please call the school in advance and schedule an appointment.
- When dropping off your child please enter using the driveway near the tennis court and slowly move along the front of the building to park on the side. Be mindful of our buses and yield to the bus as they require more room
than a car/truck.
- We ask that during school hours you refrain from entering the playground to ensure the safety of all children.

On May 4th at 12:30-1:30pm The Amazing Mr. J will be performing a magic show at the school. We are thrilled to host the Amazing Mr. J and wish to recognize RCS Parents Anne-Marie Seguin and Gerald Keyzer for covering the cost of the event. This will be our

This is Riverside Consolidated school with a few reminders for this week. Report Cards go out today, please take some time to review the report card and celebrate your child's progress and set new goals for the end of the school year.
Parent teacher interviews are Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning. If you haven't already booked a time to meet with your child's teacher please call the school. We are scheduling in person and phone call interviews.
There is no school Thursday (Parent teacher interviews/PL), Friday (Good Friday) and next Monday (Easter Monday), April 14, 15 and 18th).
Tuesday hot lunch will be Pizza.
Wednesday April 13th we will be having a school hot breakfast followed by an Easter egg hunt. Students will find two eggs which contain a question related to the outcomes teachers have been covering. Students return the eggs and answer the questions for
a sweet treat.

This is a message from Riverside Consolidated School. Monday there will be no school for students as the Professional Learning day from Friday has been moved to Monday. Students return to school on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, students will participate in a bus evacuation drill. This is the second drill for this year.
This week students in Mr. Tingley’s class are expecting the delivery of several salmon eggs from the Shepody Fish and Game. Students will learn about the lifecycle of salmon through the program.
On Thursday this week Alicia O’Hara will present a session on conflict resolution to all classes.

Dear RCS Families,
As you know, students will be learning from home beginning this Tuesday, January 11th. Home learning will be the same format used when students were home in November. Teachers will communicate with families through email, text, or phone calls.
Your child’s teacher will contact you on Monday January 10th to review the home learning packets and what to expect going forward.
There will be a pickup time for home learning packet materials on Monday, January 10th from 2pm-4pm at the school. If this time does not work for you, please call the school to make alternate arrangements. Those with exceptional circumstances,
as stated in the district communication sent on Friday January 7th have been contacted directly.
Please note that schools will no longer receive rapid test kits for distribution and a link to the latest Public Health guidelines were included in the communication sent on Friday from the district. If you require another copy of that communication, please

A Message from Riverside Consolidated School
Any parents who paid for a calendar, orders will be ready for pick up Thursday or Friday this week. Parents can call the school and make arrangements to pick up or to send home with your child.
With the change in the last day of school for K-6 students to this Friday, we have adjusted our calendar of events. This is what is scheduled for the rest of the week.
Wednesday – Crazy Hair and Hat Day, Christmas Crafts activities sponsored by Foods of the Fundy Valley.
Thursday- Turkey Dinner, Student Christmas Shopping Party. K-2 classes will record their Christmas concert songs.
Friday – Sapranos Pizza Lunch, PJ/Stuffy day.

Good Evening this is Riverside Consolidated School with a few messages.
We are planning a virtual Christmas concert again this year. Students from each class will perform a few songs/poems which will be recorded and posted to a private youtube page which we will provide a link for before the Christmas break. Your child's teacher will inform you of which day they plan to have the students recorded in case you wanted to send them to school in a particular outfit.
Next Thursday December 16th will be our Christmas turkey lunch.
The last week of school we have theme days planned as follows:
December 20 -Hat day/Crazy Hair
December 21 -Inside out day
December 22- Christmas sweater or red and green day.
December 23 -PJ/Stuffy Day
December 20- Our friends from Foods of the Fundy Valley will organize a Christmas Homemade Gifts activity for all students. Students will make a hot chocolate reindeer, cookie mix in a jar, a dry soup mix and a face scrub gift to bring home.
December 22nd will be our Student Shopping Party each student will be able to choose from donated gifts to bring home wrapped for a loved one. We are still accepting donations for this activity if you have any new or almost new items you would like to donate.
December 23 will be a half day for students and the last day before the Christmas break. A breakfast for the whole school will be served to celebrate.
And finally our Fill the Bus Campaign has started we are looking for any items but specifically this year we would appreciate donations such as toothpaste toothbrushes, shampoo, soap, deodorant. We are accepting all donations of food as well.

Tomorrow Friday Oct 29th is Black and Orange Day and crazy hair/hat day. Students can wear black and orange in lieu of a costume as well as a hat and/or crazy hair!
Students will enjoy Pizza from Sapranos tomorrow for lunch. Foods of the Fundy Valley has also provided pumpkins for classes to decorate/carve as well as Halloween themed cookie decorating kits and paper masks kits for students and fruit and vegetable trays for snacks.

This is Riverside School with a reminder that Picture orders are due. Please send your order form in by Friday October 8th. If you are interested in retakes please indicated that on your order form and return to the school. Picture retake day is October 21st.
Next week students will be involved in preparing the ground for our food forest. Please send in rubber boots with your child, if you have them available.
