Emergency Evacuation Procedures

Schools have a responsibility to develop a plan of action in the event of an emergency as per the New Brunswick Education Act. Our plan for an emergency evacuation at Queen Elizabeth School is as follows:

Emergency Evacuation Location for K-4: St. Phillips Anglican Church 389-9424

Emergency Evacuation Location for 5-8: Mountain View United Church 857-4817

Should an emergency occur, all staff and students would proceed to their respective emergency evaculation location. Staff are equipped with emergency kits which include up to date contact information for all parents/guardians. All students would be signed out by parents/guardians before being released from their location. This would include walking students and bus students of all grades. This procedure will help reduce parental anxiety as all parents will know, in advance, via the school website/message system that all students will be at designated locations.
