Harvest House Yard Sale

When: Homecoming Saturday, October 26th (12noon – 4pm)

Where: Moncton High Cafeteria

Why: Table proceeds will be donated to Harvest House

What: Rent a table and participate in our giant yard sale.  You can do this as an individual, a group or as a team.  You keep your proceeds.  Table fee: $10 for individual or group and $20 for a team. 

*Come to room 2033 during Connect Block to rent your table

MHS supports recycling, reusing and giving back to our community.  Sell household goods, clothing, books, gadgets, baked goods, sporting equipment, jewelry, art.

Field Hockey Fundraiser

·             Have a date but not sure where to take them? WELL, you are in luck! The Field Hockey Team will be selling raffle tickets for DINNER & MOVIE PASSES for TWO on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for the month of OCTOBER in the Green Area!

·             Tickets are:

12th Forum for French for the Future

October 29th at UM

There are still a few spots available 

to sign up to attend the full day of activities 

at UM.  Please see Mme. O'Brien Gaudet if 

you are a Grade 11 or 12 French Immersion

 student or interested in applying at UM 

next year.(post this for the rest of this week.

 

French for the Future's National Essay Contest Applications opened October 1st.  Deadline is December 20, 2019. Win a scholarship ranging between $1,000 to $12,000. This contest is open to students in grade 10, 11 and 12. Students must submit a 750-word essay in French on a chosen theme (this year’s is Climate Emergency). Scholarships may be applied to entrance at many universities.  See Mme. O'Brien Gaudet in room 2013 for more information.

Trades & Tech Career Exploration for Girls 

Free transportation on October 23rd  to go to NBCC to:

Introduce young women in high school to careers

in the skill trades and technology sectors.  It is an 

event that fosters a positive environment in which young

 women have the opportunity to hear speakers discuss the rewards and challenges of their chosen career path, and to connect with mentors from their community. Mentors provide students with advice, guidance and inspiration by sharing their experiences. Girls leave feeling empowered and informed about non-traditional careers.

If you have some at home you can ​donate (with your parents' permission), ​please bring them to room 2027.  ​

Mrs. Edmunds' homeroom will be collecting donations ​every day next week.

 

Senior Girls Soccer

Congratulations to the senior girls' soccer team who defeated Clement Cormier last night 4-0. Goal scorers were Brooklyn Carruthers with 2, Carly Smith (grade 11) and Sarah Gallant each had one. Kayla Murray recorded the shutout. The girls completed an impressive undefeated season and begin playoffs next week with a semifinal game against Odyssee. Great job ladies!
