News for the week of January 14-18

Dear Magnetic Hill Families

A few items to share with you as we return from the weekend.

For parents of students in Kindergarten and Grade 5 Ells. The Grade 1 and Grade 6 Program choice forms have gone home with your child. These need to be returned as soon as possible. Note that grade 1 entry point Immersion is offered at Magnetic Hill School while the Grade 6 entry point is not. Grade 6 late Immersion for the North End is currently available at Evergreen Park School. Students currently attending Magnetic Hill in Grade 5 Immersion are not part of this program selection.
There will be a parent information session held in the Auditorium at Bernice McNaughton High School on Wednesday January 16th starting at 6:45 p.m. and all interested parents are welcome to attend.

MADD Canada will be at Magnetic Hill School on Friday January 18th to present.
The presentation for our Middle Level Students is called “No Tomorrow”.
With the Legalization and Regulation of Cannabis, our NEW production "No Tomorrow" emphasizes the consequences of not only alcohol and driving but also of drugs and driving.

We have received a generous donation of 44 cases of Majesta/Royale products from Irving Tissue. We have 40 cases of toilet tissue and 4 of facial tissue. The cases will be available for purchase with 100% of the proceeds going towards technology at Magnetic Hill School. Watch for more information on our “Tissue for Technology” promotion.
