Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome back and Happy New Year to everyone!  We are happy to be back with the students this new year. The year ended with some Christmas activities with the students.  A big thank you to the Home and School members who provided Christmas/craft materials for all classes to make Christmas presents to wrap for their families. This was enjoyed by all the students.

January will see colder days…and snow!  It is important that children are dressed for outdoor play.  Extra mittens are encouraged.  We are happy to accept mitten donations. We always have students looking for mittens!  Students’ names should be on all outerwear.  (We have a lot of black snow pants at school that can get mixed up.)  Also, a reminder that students need to bring clean masks and water bottles every day!  Thank you.

Please remember that morning supervision begins at 8:10am. Students should not arrive before this

time.  The first bell rings at 8:35 and the second bell at 8:40 when classes begin. Please have students at

school before 8:40 so they do not miss any learning. Thank you.

Susan Wilmot

Principal

Allergy Alert – Please remember, HES is a nut free school as we have some students with severe allergies to nuts.  Thank you for helping ensure our students are safe by not sending food with nut products.
