Happenings

Good morning from Frank L. Bowser School,

Here are just a couple of updates regarding the wonderful things happening here at Frank L. Bowser School.

Terry Fox Day is this Thursday September 19th.  The school will be doing a fundraising walk on Thursday morning weather permitting.  We are asking students to bring in a Toonie for Terry on Thursday if at all possible to help raise funds for this important initiative.

Hot Lunch tickets are now available through School Cash Online.  Tickets can be purchased a week in advance up until Mondays at 5:59 pm. This allows us to preorder what is needed for the specific meals on the days offered.  Hot Lunch will start this Monday September 23rd.  For this week only, if you have not bought tickets for Monday the 23rd and would like to, please send $5 cash with your child to school with a note indicating you would like to order for this Monday.  All orders moving forward should be made online.

Home and School memberships will be available through School Cash Online by the end of the day today until the first week of October.  Memberships are $7 for a single membership or $10 for a Family membership.  Thank you in advance for being part of this important aspect of our school environment.

Thank you so much to the 56% of our parent population who have already completed the necessary school forms through School Cash Online.  175 students out of our 311 have the necessary information completed on-line.  It is Provincial Policy this year that all forms are completed through School Cash Online and we would appreciate anyone who has not already done so, to please complete this necessary task as soon as possible using the following link:

We are presently having new fountains installed here at our school with water bottle filling stations.  We are thrilled to be the recipient of the Medical Staff Community Donation from the Moncton Hospital Medical Staff Association.  This improvement would not have been possible without this generous donation.  Thanks specifically to Dr. Allison Leonard for her hard work in ensuring this possibility became a reality.

Finally, please see attached an information bulletin and save the date reminder regarding an evening focused on Building Belonging as presented by the Riverview Family of Schools.

Thanks everyone and have a phenomenal week.
