Playpark update

Go Fund Me.pdfGo Fund Me.pdfGood morning from Frank L. Bowser School.

The time has come, it is our last week with our current playground.  Preparations are being made and the ground is being made ready starting next week to have the most phenomenal, state of the art, learning based play structure built here at Frank L. Bowser School between June 4th and June 10th.

Our fifth-grade students have taken it upon themselves to take on their own initiative to support the build.  Tomorrow afternoon all three fifth grade classes will be running a designated circuit on our existing structure and measuring the distance run.  They will then calculate how far their grade level group ran in total.  Each student will receive a certificate of achievement which they will then take out in to the community seeking donations of snack food for the volunteers at the build.   This snack drive is an excellent way to provide some hands-on experiential learning for our oldest students and provide them a sense of ownership towards the project.  We thank you in advance for your support of them as they pursue their set goal of two hundred and fifty dollars of food donations per class.

Due to this drive we ask that the community please do not use the playpark between 12:30 and 2:30 tomorrow only.  We love that our community uses the playground during the day and are happy to host the regular group of students who play primarily between 1:30 and 2:30 each day.  We ask for your understanding for just this one day to allow a safe space for our ten and eleven-year-old students to run as fast as they can through the structure throughout tomorrow afternoon.  Thank you again in advance.

There is still time to support the building of the Rebecca Schofield All World Super Playpark.  We are still just over fifteen thousand dollars shy of our twenty-five-thousand-dollar community goal.  We are also still gathering as many volunteers as possible to take part in the build between June 4th and June 10th. Please the attached pamphlet for information on ways to donate or volunteer.
