Grade 1 and 2 students....

Good evening. As you are probably aware, Evergreen Park School had two back to back fire alarms this afternoon, just as the grade 1 and 2 students were due to be dismissed. As a result, an important message was distributed to only one class in error as the other two teachers had not had time to return to their classrooms to pick up the notices in order to inform their students. The notice going to grade one and two students ONLY reads:

November , 2018

Dear Evergreen Park Families,

Your son/daughter is currently enrolled in a grade 1 or 2 classroom.  Based on increased enrollment since September, the district has added another class at Evergreen Park School. As a result, we will be eliminating our current combined grade one/two class.  A few students will be moved to new classes. This may result in smaller classroom sizes at both grade levels.  Administration, in consultation with teachers and our school’s ESS team, have created new class lists that will be beneficial for all involved.

Thank you for your understanding and support with this transition.

Free Raquetball Lessons

The New Brunswick Racquetball Association is offering a free racquetball lesson at CEPS, Universite de Moncton on Saturday Oct 13th.  Sessions will be ½ hour long, just to introduce participants the game. Sessions start at 9:00 a.m. and go every ½ hour.

If interested, the children can sign up for an 8-week Junior program which will run on Saturday mornings for 1 hour.

Parents are also encouraged to try the sport on that day. If interested, we have a 6-week Learn to Play program for adults.

Registration is open to the first 32 people to sign up and is open to children in K-8. Maximum 8 people per ½ hour session (4 per court).  All racquetball gear is provided. Participants just need to bring indoor sneakers and wear comfortable clothing.

Pre-registration is required, preferably by email but by phone is also ok.

If you call and get voicemail, we need to know the child’s name, age and phone number.

You will get a response telling you what time your session will be. We will try to keep children in similar age groups.

CEPS can be a difficult place to navigate if you are not familiar with the facility.

Participants will be met at the main entrance to CEPS starting at 8:50 (and every ½ hour after that) and taken to the racquetball courts.

Contact is Barry Moore at 387-4196 or email moorbar@rogers.com
