March 28
March 28th

Hello Students and Parents of DCS,

I know that it has be a while since we have been to school and with not being at school we do not get to see our friends, play outside and try all kinds of knew things that we do when we are learning. This is a very different time for all of us students, parents, and teachers. This kind of uncertainty is never easy and saying that I hope that you are all staying well and taking care of one another. For most it is extremely far outside their comfort zone to be home practicing social distancing and being asked to do things that are not the norm. Students can be reading and interacting with siblings and family members, some parents are home trying to juggle being a parent, teacher and entertainer, and teachers are home trying to adjust their teaching plan as the school year moves along in this fashion. Parents I know that this has been a frustrating and challenging time and right now we are operating on the direction of the deputy ministers notice from March 20. Although unsure we hope to hear more on how to move forward in the near future. These. Are unpredictable and Unprecedented time that we are all faced with regarding Covid 19, however we will get through this and continue to offer a  fun and engaging learning experiences for all of our students.

During this time of uncertainty I know that times are tough regarding other areas of life. Just remember to please reach out if you need anything. We have teamed together with the Sackville schools and some amazing volunteers to provide some support in regards to food if needed. Barbie has sent it out via talk mail and email and I will send it out again today.

To our students, your teachers and staff miss and care about you and want to remind you that we are here for you even though we don’t get to see you. We encourage you to remember to wash your hands, cough/sneeze into your elbow and be kind to everyone ( especially your parents/guardians ). Please follow the directions of public health and be safe.

Thanks and stay well,

Mr. Kline
