Hello everyone. Today is Thursday, October 8, 2020 and this
is Mrs. Godfrey with a few messages from Caledonia Regional.
A reminder to all high school students
attending school on rotational attendance – Tuesday, October 13th is
scheduled as a Track A day. Statutory
holidays – do not count as rotational attendance. Since this Friday is scheduled as a Track B
day – and there is no school scheduled for Monday (because of Thanksgiving) –
Track A students are scheduled to attend on Tuesday.
High School report cards will be going home
with students on November 12th. High school students should be engaging in
home learning provided by their teachers during their rotational attendance
days at home. High School report cards
will reflect the numerical grade a student has provided evidence of learning
for by that date. There will be grades
given based on evidence of learning that teachers receive. Please use any time away from school to
engage in the home learning your teacher provides. This November report card will not be
like the report card you received in June with the notations of credit or enrolled. There will be a numerical grade for your courses.
Middle School report cards will go home
with students in December.
The cafeteria menu is posted on our school
website and can be accessed under the Document tab at the top of the page.
Each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, high school students on a rotational
attendance home day from school may attend the Hillsborough Boys and Girls Club
from 10:30 – 2:30. Here, they will have
access to computers, headsets, printers, high speed internet, and support from
peers and youth workers. Lunch will be
provided free of charge! Transportation
is the responsibility of the student.
On these days – from 3:30 – 4:30 all
youth can connect to a virtual tutoring program. If you are interested in more information
about virtual tutoring, contact Maeghan Stam – Educational Manager (506)
387-7070 ext. 107 or on her cell (506) 588-8366. Her email address is email@example.com. She
will email a zoom link to all interested families three times a week to connect
to the session and can even help match a student to a mentor.
Thank you to the kind people at Cooke’s for
their $510 donation to our Caledonia Breakfast program.
A reminder Grad Photos are scheduled for October
14th and 15th.
We continue to take our direction from the
Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, the Office of the
Superintendent, and Public Health. If
deemed necessary, changes to our planned activities, events, and schedules will
be made swiftly and communicated to our Caledonia family.
Be safe this long weekend everyone. Thank
you very much for listening and for your continued patience, understanding, and
co-operation as we continue to navigate this situation.
