Hello everyone. Today is Friday, September 11th
and this is Mrs. Godfrey with a few messages from Caledonia Regional.
First – I want to share with you what a
privilege and pleasure this week has been.
Having your children back in school has been a wonderful
experience. I am so proud of our
students – their level of understanding and maturity in following the directives
that define this new normal at school has been just outstanding. You should all be very proud!
I would encourage you to continue doing
your own research on the most efficient face coverings. Public Health continues to release valuable
information supporting the use of community masks.
The rotational attendance division in high
school reflects a division in school student population. It supports our risk mitigation measures that
allow for half of the students to be in the school on any given day – half the number
of students at their lockers, half the number of students off campus or in the
cafeteria etc. It is not ideal in some
classes – where the division is not equal.
At some point, we may be able to make some adjustments. Presently, this is the rotational division that
is supported by busing regulations, expectations of Public Health and the Department. There are a lot of pieces to the puzzle for
sure. I am just so grateful that we can
have the students back in the building – re-establishing those positive connections
with teachers and thriving.
The Team at the Hillsborough Baptist Church
on Salem Road has opened their doors for our high school students to work on
their schoolwork on the days they are not scheduled to be in school. This is a monitored safe internet enabled
site. So, if you have wifi connectivity
issues at home, this can be an option for you.
If you would like more information on this, please contact Chad Fletcher
directly at 506-636-1145 or visit www.hillsboroughbaptist.org
or call 734-2379. Thank you to the Team
at the church for their donation to our Grab and Go Breakfast Program. We are so thankful for our partnership.
Two of Caledonia’s finest – Grace Duplessis
