April 11
Sunday, April 11, 2021

Today is Sunday, April 11th and this is Mrs. Godfrey with a message that full time in-person learning plans for high school students across the province have been delayed.

This was announced yesterday afternoon by Cabinet.

This delay is a result of presumed cases of the variant in Zones 1 and 2 and a number of cases throughout our province that are concerning.  This delay will allow for maximized physical distancing at the high school level and will minimize possible contact and transmission.

This decision will be revisited in the coming weeks.

If we ever do have the opportunity to come together, our Full Time and In-Person learning plan will come into effect.  We are well prepared.

Until such time, tomorrow – Monday, April 12th – will see Track B students attend school in person and Track A students attend online.  Those students identified as Track C, will continue this track as well.  Blended Learning continues with high school students at home logging into their TEAMS classes at the designated class times.   Business will be as usual with no changes to our bell system or cafeteria use.

Our cafeteria will still be open beginning tomorrow.

High School report cards will go home tomorrow and Tuesday with students. Book your parent / teacher conference by visiting our Caledonia website.  This is a Grade 6 – 12 Parent / Teacher conference and there are 2 options – phone or online.

Students are reminded to wear their masks in public as per Public Health directives.  This includes our parking lot.

Take care everyone.  If we have learned anything this year, it is that things can change swiftly.  Thank you for your understanding and ongoing co-operation.

Mrs. Godfrey
