What’s Happening at Bernice MacNaughton High School

·         Winter formal tickets are on sale for $12 for all students.  Guests must have their tickets bought by the end of the day on Tuesday, December 17th.  The formal itself is Night on the Nile (think Aladdin) and is on Thursday, Dec 19th at 7PM."

 

·         It’s time to FILL the BUS, Highlanders!! Please send canned and other non-perishable food items in with your child as often as you can.

·         Grad photo retake day will be Monday, December 16th for those who missed the initial dates

 

·         The Reach for the Top team is selling raffle tickets on a gift card tree. Due to the generosity in prizes, there will now be TWO draws where the winner will receive gift cards to Cineplex, Sobeys, Tim Hortons, Apple, Google Play, gas stations, Shopper's Drug Mart, and more. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5. The draw will take place on December 19th.  See any Reach player or Mrs. Natasha LeBlanc. 

 

·         You are invited to the BMHS Grade 9 Big Question Project showcase on Tuesday, December 17th from 11:00-12:00.  The students have been working hard on various projects over the past 2 months and are ready to show their finished product.  The school will be open to the public to view the projects which will be spread out in the cafeteria.  Please remind your child to bring everything they’ll need with them on Monday, December 16th for the in-class sharing session. 

 

·         On December 17th a representative from The Universitie de Moncton will be at BMHS in the afternoon conducting one-on-one admission on the spot meetings with students. Any student that would like an appointment time needs to sign up in guidance.

 

·         The New Brunswick Teen Apprenticeship Program is an opportunity for Grade 10 and 11 students who are interested in pursuing a career in the skilled trades to gain experience and summer employment as a pre-apprentice. More information is available by visiting their website, www.nbtap.ca . Information booklets and application forms are available in guidance. The deadline to apply is January 17th
