students have the opportunity to spend the day at the workplace of a parent,
guardian or community host. On Friday, October 11th, Grade 9 students will be
bringing home the Family Guide which provides information about Take Our Kids
to Work Day. It also contains a Consent Form which must be completed, signed
and returned to your child’s English teacher before the day of the event.
Over the next
few weeks many colleges and universities are hosting open houses. This is a
great opportunity for students to visit post-secondary institutions they are
considering for after high school. A list of open house dates can be found on
the Anglophone East School District Scholarship Webpage
(aesdscholarships.wordpress.com). Students should speak with their guidance
counsellor if they have questions or would like more information.
