Good afternoon parents and guardians of Arnold H. McLeod School,

This the weekly voicemail message for Friday May 1st,

We hope this message finds everyone in good health. We appreciate your continued patience as we work through everything.

Great news. We have been given permission to allow parents to pick up student belongings. This means parents, you have homework to do this weekend. Make sure you find out who your child’s homeroom teacher is. Please find attached an explanation of the procedures, as well as the schedule for collecting your child’s belongings from school. In keeping with the province’s protocols for social distancing and maintaining safety, please read the attachment carefully so you are aware of the drive thru pick up process for Monday, May 4th Kindergarten and Grade 1 students, Tuesday, May 5th Grade 2 and Grade 3 students and Wednesday, May 6th Grade 4 and Grade 5 students.   All three days will have drive thru pick up times from 9:30-11:30am and 5:00pm to 6:30pm and Walkers only pick up from 11:30 to 12:00pm and 6:30 to 7:00pm.  No one will be permitted into the school for any reason, except for the staff. In many instances, especially in Grade 3-5 sneakers were not labelled. These may need to be returned in September. Procedures remain the same rain or shine. We would appreciate if you could drop off any library books on your pick up day. Also, if possible, can you please bag and label with your child’s name any classroom books or materials that were borrowed. These items will be stored and cleaned at the school level later.

• By the end of the day on Tuesday May 5th teachers will be e-mailing parents new learning resources. January 29
Special Voicemail From Mrs. Trueman January 29 th

This is a brief talk mail for Wednesday January 29, 2020

This is a voice message from Mrs. Trueman, principal of Arnold H. McLeod School.

Upon dropping students off this morning, you may have noticed an RCMP car parked on the corner of the kindergarten and grade one playground. He is there watching a property far away from the school.

No one at the school was in danger. No one is in danger. No one in the school has done anything wrong.

The RCMP advised me we have nothing to worry about. He has all of my telephone numbers-work and personal -to contact me day and night.

I brought the students inside this morning as a precautionary measure. I did not want them to see a police car on a playground and have fears or concerns. I wanted to be able to explain to them why he was there. I made an announcement to students at 8:38 am and also sent a more detailed email to staff by 8:00 am.

Please understand the safety of your children is always and always will be on my mind.

Hugs,

Mrs. Trueman
