Friday September 11th

This is the weekly voicemail message for Friday September 11th:

Welcome back!  We are extremely pleased with our first week of school.  The students are quickly settling in and learning the new routines and procedures.

We would like to take this opportunity to remind parents to monitor your child for the following symptoms on a daily basis: fever, sore throat, headache, runny nose, new or worsening chronic cough, new onset of fatigue or muscle ache, diarrhea, loss of taste or smell, purple markings on fingers or toes. If you notice one of these symptoms, please contact 811 to discuss. If you notice two or more, please stay home and call 811.

AHM will be hosting a virtual Meet the Staff Night on Thursday September 17th. Check your email as teachers will be emailing you their presentation.

We would like to remind parents and students of the importance of bike locks if students are bringing their bikes to school.

Should you wish to drop an item off to your child during the school day, please use the plastic bins at the front door of the school.  Label the item. We will be checking the boxes periodically and delivering the items to the students.

If you are sending your child to school with a snack that requires a spoon, please also send along the utensil.  We are unable to provide spoons for snacks.

The student fee for students in Grades 1-5 for the 2020-2021 school year is $10.  The fee for Kindergarten students is $40 as this also covers the cost of school supplies for that grade.

Handbooks will be going home in a week or two as we wanted to make updates after the students have been here and following our plan.

That is all for this week.  Thanks for listening and have a great weekend.
