First Nation Education News!

What a great month of activities to honor the ‘National Indigenous Peoples Month’. The month started with the First Nation Education Coalition visiting Fort Folly and Elsipogtog to partake in  Mi’kmaq culture through land-based education and experiential learning. Schools are doing various activities that will culminate in June 21st ‘National Indigenous Peoples Day’. Ask your kids what they have learned this year and what things have gone in their schools to incorporate First Nation Education into their learning. If you are available, attend the raising of the Mi’kmag Flag at City Hall on the 21st!

As always, feel free to reach out to the First Nation Education Subject Coordinator Tracy Landry if you have any questions or feedback. Wel’alin!
