Bessborough School News!

On Thursday October 25th Bessborough held a Halloween Dance for Middle School students in grade 6 to 8. Students from Hillcrest were also invited to attend the dance to get a chance to share some fun with our community members.

On Monday, October 29th, Leadership students will be volunteering in the Ronald McDonald Room located in the Moncton Hospital. Students volunteer with the Home for Dinner program, which allows family members to stay close to their loved ones while they're receiving treatment at the hospital. Students will be preparing Feta Cheese Casserole, a garden salad and homemade chocolate pudding. Students work as a team to plan a menu, fundraise for groceries and prepare the meal under the supervision of Bessborough staff members.

On Wednesday, October 31st, Leadership students will be leading younger students through various stations in the gym during our annual Spooktacular. They will also be running a Halloween Sock Hop for students in grades 3-5.

On November 1st the students at Bessborough will be holding their Bengal Pride Assembly. This assembly recognizes accomplishments of students at our school as well as announcing Bengal Pride Certificate winners. We also do draws of students who have been caught being ”Bengals At Their Best”. Mr. Legge our Music teacher/Band leader, will have his jazz band perform for the audience. Lastly, but certainly not least, because students at Bessborough were able to meet their goal for our Terry Fox fundraiser this year Mr. Mattatall (Principal), Mr. Williams (Vice Principal) and Mr. Johnston (Vice Principal) will be attempting to perform the Floss, the Orange Justice and the Hype. This will definitely provide entertainment for the students.
