Spring is in the air at ASD-E and students
are well into their summer activities! More than 150 students in grades 3-12
participated in the annual STEM East Expo in March at NBCC. Students presented
various projects, inventions and research across an array of subjects to judges
at the Expo; 18 of these students have been chosen to go on to the Provincial
Expo this month. We had a fabulous day taking in all of the amazing projects
our students have been passionately working on for this event.
Did you hear that CRUNCH? The District
Education Council sponsored The Big Crunch for students all across the District
on March 29th. Every student in every school received a locally
purchased apple to CRUNCH into at 11 a.m. to show a commitment to eating
healthy and supporting local businesses! Thanks to the DEC for the delicious
Students and staff are looking forward to
continuing to explore the outdoors at the weather warms up for Spring. The last
of the snow shoeing adventures will lead to maple sugaring and learning all
about the cycles of our seasons.
