Good Evening Families of Nashwaaksis Middle
School,
This is to inform you that tomorrow, Friday,
May 14, Nashwaaksis Middle School will transition to online learning from home
due to a high number of staff vacancies that have not been backfilled. If
students require their assistive technology or certain materials to learn from
home that are currently at school, they will be permitted to visit the school
tomorrow between 8 a.m. - 9 a.m. to retrieve their items. Students should only
report to the school to gather belongings if required. Learning from home will
start at 10 a.m. tomorrow, with a check-in from their homeroom teacher.
We will reassess the situation on Monday, May
17, and provide you with an update on continued learning at that time.
Once again, if your child is
showing any symptoms of COVID-19, you should:
- Register
them online for a test by clicking “Get tested” on the GNB coronavirus
website (www.gnb.ca/coronavirus),
OR
- Contact
Tele-Care 811. The 811 operators will evaluate your child before sending
them for testing.
