Memo for Garden Creek Parents and Guardians
Good
afternoon Families,
We
have lots going on this coming week – Safe Schools Week, picture day and
the start of Trick or Eat 😊
NO SCHOOL OCTOBER 30 – our Department of Education in conjunction with
Districts have made the decision that staff in schools will be involved in
professional learning around digital learning. This is to better prepare them
to support your children in the case of having to move into a “learning from home”
situation throughout the year.
Music – Ms. Dias continues to impress us with her energy
and creativity in Music class! Please see the attached letter in regard to what
is requested for homemade instruments for this month.

Safe Schools Week –we will be performing safety drills
this coming week. One change is to our Evacuation to Another Site. We no longer
have to do the full walk. We will only be walking down to our entranceway from
the field rather than walking down the Woodstock Road to Sansom’s Equipment.
Please refer to my last memo for the full info on the
drills.
School Pictures – These are on Thursday. I am assured
that they will be “covid friendly” as far as procedures from Harvey’s.
Home and School Meeting – last shout out for anyone who
wants to get in on the committee. Please let me know via an email ( Katherine.campbell@nbed.nb.ca)
Meeting is this coming Tuesday on Teams.
Trick or Eat Challenge! The Trick or Eat food drive will start this
Thursday. Please see the attachment with items that we would like your family

This has always been a wonderful way
for students to contribute to the wellness of those in our greater Fredericton
community and also demonstrates Global Citizenship.
